Separation of Indium from Acid Sulfate‐Containing Solutions by Ion Exchange with Impregnated Resins

نویسندگان

چکیده

Indium separation using ion exchange resins from acidic polymetallic and very diluted solutions are investigated. Since the selectivity of commercial have proven to be too low for an effective with high content other metals, Lewatit® TP 208 was impregnated common extractants enhance its properties. By resin impregnation D2EHPA Cyanex 272, not only selective indium recovery reached but also capacity increased approx. two times. The best loading elution performance were shown by 272-impregnated 208, increasing purity in eluate 0.75 % 85 %.

Uptake of cycloalkanes and bicyclic aromatic compounds by ion-exchange resins from aqueous solutions.

The uptakes of cycloalkanes (C5 - C8) and bicyclic aromatic compounds (naphthalene, biphenyl, and azulene) by both strong acid cation (Dowex 50W-X4 and X8) and strong base anion (Dowex 1-X4 and X8) exchange resins have been studied in aqueous solutions at 25 degrees C; their distribution constants (K) have been determined. The relationship between the octanol-water partition coefficient and the...

[Ion exchange resins].

Ion exchange resins have been used to help formulate pharmaceuticals since the late 1950's. During that time they have proved to be safe and effective excipients and are now used in many commercial formulations throughout the world. In this article we will look at some of the common problems faced by formulators and how using ion exchange resins may be able to solve them. Ion exchange resins ar...

Deodorizing experiments with ion exchange resins.

In a previous report (1), the differences in the carbon number of the lower fatty acids contained in cutaneous secretions such as axillary sweat, smegma, and dandruff, were considered as factors responsible for the difference in odor between osmidrotic and non-osmidrotic subjects. Besides these there are ammonia constituents and volatile salts (trimethylamine, methylamine) which may take part i...
